Zara Larsson‘s sophomore (kind of a debut for her international status) album is finally here!
So Good has been a long time coming for the 19-year-old Swedish originated pop superstar. She has come along way since her “Uncover” and “Rooftop” days with the world now familiar with her name.
“Never Forget You” and “Lush Life” really catapulted her into the global spotlight, and rightly so as she’s bursting with talent.
The album truly showcases how well she fits within the pop and dance genre, with the album being full of catchy and radio-friendly material.
It deals with love and loss, which is expected from a youthful talent navigating the world of love.
“Funeral” for example highlights this and showcases her at her most powerful, it’s Zara’s “Someone Like You” as she deals with a painful heartbreak and wishes them the very best. A well structured pop-ballad at it’s finest.
Other notable love-infused tracks include “One Mississippi” which is bound to be a hit and funky track “Don’t Let Me Be Yours”, a track refusing to be a lovers mistake.
As for her newfound fame, there’s a female empowering track titled “Make That Money” that aims to inspire confidence.
There’s even a collaboration with hit-makers Clean Bandit (who are still smashing with “Rockabye”) which is screaming to become the next dance floor hit, “Symphony”. The two blend so well together!
All the hits we already know (it has been that delayed!) are on it too, including “Never Forget You”, “Lush Life” and “Ain’t My Fault”.
Best New Tracks: Funeral, One Mississippi, Symphony, What They Say, Don’t Let Me Be Yours.
Overall Rating: 8/10
