Week In TV Review : Revenge, Arrow, Beauty & The Beast and The Vampire Diaries [Oct 29. – Nov.1]

Here are our short reviews of last week’s episodes of Revenge, Arrow, Beauty & The Beast and The Vampire Diaries. The shows episodes are ranked from 1-3 on which was most entertaining.
1.REVENGE

This season is on fire, i must say i was hardly on board with the show last season but have fallen completely into the story-lines this season as it has stopped shying away from creating huge drama within the main story-lines setup during last season.

This week’s episode was particularly emotional as we further saw the vulnerable side of the real Amanda/Emily as she confided in the fake Amanda of her being the real mother.
It was particularly heart-wrenching seeing the real Amanda forgive her mother over her attempted murder after suffering from a mental illness. I really hope the two further fix there relationship in episodes to come!

Overall, another amazing episode of Revenge that continued to show its relentlessness of having epic story-lines with a more emotional undertone this week.

2.THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

This season continues to be relentlessly strong, as we were provided yet another entertaining episode of The Vampire Diaries. It wasn’t quite on-par with the last 2 week’s episodes but still managed to deliver us some new interesting story-lines including the back-story of The Five.
It was also nice to see Elena become reckless a bit, but i hope she stays to her true self as it would ruin the character if she continues on such a path. I’m sure she will be back to her human self before season’s end as it was revealed that there is a potential cure out there to remove the curse of a vampire.

On another note, no Bonnie but a nice further back-story from Rebekah of her love for one of The Five and her appreciation of Stefan’s love.. I really hope they dont drag out her sleep like last season as she’s a really great addition to the show.

Overall, another excellent episode to a so-far triumphant season, it wasn’t quite as good as the last 2 weeks but still managed to deliver us new questions and confusions with the back-story of The Five and the shocking announcement of The Cure. I look forward to just how the rest of the season plays out on these particular stories, and hope they keep up this great momentum that is season 4!

3.ARROW
Another great episode of this new hit show, it was much better than last week’s lack-luster episode as it focused more heavily on the Oliver, and why he chose the path of revenge. It provided further background into the inhibition Oliver has for taking down the list and showed Laurel’s shared passion with his method of justice, before seeing how brutal Arrow was. We also saw the innocence of Oliver in the path (he couldnt even hurt an animal and now he kills for a living), maybe we will see a more vulnerable side of Oliver in the future and see his methods of revenge change.
Overall, a major improvement from last week and restored my faith in the show of being an exceptionally entertaining superhero/drama show.

4/5
4.BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

The show further improved once more this week as the show went back to its true main story of the mystery of Vincent.. as the people that had something to do with Catherine’s mum’s death returned and offered her the truth in exchange for Vincent’s life, in which she was tempted to do after lacking trust in him. But in the end her trust was restored in Vincent. The murder subplot this week was actually done quite well this week as the culprit was less obvious this week.

Overall, another major improvement to the weak start the show had. It may just turn out to be a worthy watch judging by next week’s promo.
