Life can be stressful sometimes. But does it really have to be?
Here are some tips to help combat stress, because we could all really do without it.
Take a deep breath… Everything’s going to s*** so might as well take a moment and take a heavy breath. Process what is happening and then evaluate if it really is that bad.
Avoid explosive outbursts… When things are getting to you, it is best to avoid social media and texting. Sometimes it is just one of those moody days and you need to be away from humans. You could potentially say something that will damage your professional and personal relationships.
Treat yourself… Sometimes you need a bit of retail therapy. Even getting a yummy dessert will do.
The only problem is that it may be an instant grat, which will burn out pretty quickly. But hey, a little break from it all is good enough?
Maybe do something that is long-lasting – plan a holiday, have a drink up, gather some mates or have a Netflix binge-watch.
Crank the tunes.. One of the most effective measures to removing stress, is too crank the tunes. After a hard day at work put on some dance bangers to perk you up (or jazz if that’s your thing). If you’re at work, tune out and put your headphones on. P.S. this usually does the trick for me.
via GIPHYGet social… Get out of the house! Watch a movie, hang out with friends, sit outside etc. It is the best way to clear your mind rather than sitting at home and letting your mind run wild. One thing I’ve learnt is too keep busy, if you give up on doing anything and sleep your days away it definitely just kills your mood.
There’s always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow… In the end, problems are temporary. Life’s a climb (yes, we know Miley) and tell yourself that whatever you’re going through will eventually be a thing of the past.
Telling yourself this will make your stress go away (or at least ease it) as problems will seem minor. There will always be lows but there most certainly will be highs.
Don’t get so caught up in the destination that you lose yourself in the journey. You don’t need to have everything together all the time, so be grateful for what you have achieved and continue that mindset.
Career, love, happiness will all work out eventually (hopefully).
Enjoy the ride.
