Riverdale is back on October 9, but before getting stuck into more drama let us pause for a second and address the elephant in the room.
Luke Perry is getting the farewell he deserves in the opening episode of the season.
Archie Andrews declares in front of the funeral procession “Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale” as his classmates pay their tributes.
Betty Cooper muses that “he was a father to all of us,” and that really hit home for most of us who held out for Fred’s little pearls of wisdom he bestowed on Archie and co from time to time.
And as we write this, the New York Comic Con trailer has also dropped. Archie has opened up his gym to a wider audience, Jughead prepares for college offers, Betty searches for her mother, Veronica digs deeper about her father’s past and we get the sense that there’s another murder mystery in the works.
Do these kids ever get a break?
