Revenge is back! And yes we really mean back, as the show went right back into it’s resiliently speedy revelation streak! There’s no more hiding now as we head towards discovering who has been sunken down below.
Let’s take a look at the major highlights of the night..
Victoria adds Murderer to her list.. Helen really pushed Victoria to the edge last night, i didn’t think Victoria was capable of it until she fired away.. Way to shock us writers! We now know just how far Victoria is willing to go when it comes to protecting her family, especially Daniel! I admit, I’m glad to be rid of the conniving vixen Helen, but wonder how her murder will impact the Graysons. Has Victoria made a bigger mistake than she had planned?
Emily’s tainted heart.. We once again caught a glimpse of Emily’s vulnerable side this week. Her talk with Aiden once again brought to the shore how human Emily really is when it comes to plotting her revenge, as he was ready to kill anyone involved in his sisters death but she prevented him from doing so.. and made Aiden re-think that she is not just an emotionless robot who can just switch things off, she just does a good job as masking them.
The wedding of Amanda and Jack demonstrated just what she was talking about, as her childhood memories began to resurface of when her and young Jack had a little role-play wedding (pretty elaborate for kids). Judging from next week’s promo, were gonna see a whole lot more of vulnerable Emily, and i for one cant wait to explore it.
Fake Amanda plays the game.. Did not expect to see tough Amanda make an appearance tonight, she really went out of her way to protect Jack and reclaim back his bar by using Emily’s secret-infinity box (not so secret though Em’s with that password.. talk bout obvious). She went straight to Conrad and dished out the initiative-cam footage to get back what is rightfully Jack’s. Nice move Amanda but a rash decision! .. just like Victoria’s choice of murder, you have now put yourself in the firing line! Such a move made me question whether or not she will end up ten-feet below.. Has she put herself at risk or possibly Jack’s? All will revealed next week!
Padma’s vulnerable side.. On a much less dimmer note, we learned of Padma’s true intentions..its unclear whether or not though if its just another scheme to regain Nolan’s trust. From what she’s told is that her father’s being held captive and in order to free him, the initiative is using her to gain inside scoop on Nolan’s Carrion program. She’s being watched so much so, that she cant even speak while in Nolan Corp’s offices. The question now is what there going to do to free Padma and her father? And if she’s really telling the truth.
Side-notes.. Laughed out loud at Jack’s quote of describing Conrad as having “more money than God”. Charlotte and Declan make good parents? Didn’t think it was possible after their troubled history. And what is snoopy Ashley up to? Dropping-in on conversations and being more than just a background character has got me wondering.. (We’ll just have to wait and see what she’s got up her sleeve.)
Overall, an excellent return to the show. It managed to regather it’s mojo after being quite down in the last few episodes. We are now back in the thick of things and back-on-track the path of revenge! Judging by next week’s promo there’s no sign of going back now, it’s full steam ahead!
