HIMYM 7X16 – The Drunk Train Episode Review

I enjoyed this episode much more than last week, even though last week had mixed reactions by many
HIMYM Fans.
This week we were back on track with the gang, with the story focusing on the further character development on the main characters.
Barney met a girl that threw off his game, and he then falled in love with her all of a sudden which was one of the stories that was lacking last night as it seems the writers have forgotten the new Barney who was in love with Nora and Robin, how can he just fall for her right away, she then turned out to be a stipper that works at Barney’s favorite club which he did not notice (kinda wierd, but still funny). Who know’s we might see more of her later on, if not this story was no well thought out.
Lily and Marshall were out of focus in this episode but did have some important scenes as they discuss there future after the baby is born and how they will cope, they had little scenes in this episode but still had some good scenes.
Ted was boarding the Drunk Train with Barney to have quick fling as he came to the revelation he doesn’t care about finding the one anymore much to Barney’s delight, but of coarse he was denying the truth as he still on a mission to settle down and have a family. Which he then comes to a major realization in the end.
Robin was ready to tie the knot with her psychologist turned lover Kevin as he accepted that she will not be able to have kids, this was great of the writers to have continuity in this story-line. Kevin then split up with her as he realized that he indeed wanted children in the future. Upset over the split , Ted comforts her and then reveals his major revelation that he still loves her?, that was out of nowhere but another great ending to a ep.
I feel like this has been done over and over though, but let’s see how this unravels in the coming eps.
Overall, another good ep to a great season so far.
