While in Australia promoting his latest flick, Nick Robinson (Jurassic World, The 5th Wave) chatted with us exclusively at the Sydney premiere of Love, Simon.
He reveals how he landed the role, what’s next and gives an inspiring message to struggling teens.
Nick told Media Hype just how the impactful lead role came about: ‘Greg, our director was the first introduction to this film. He championed this thing from the beginning and I met with him and then I went in an auditioned. We had chemistries after that with the rest of cast and that’s how I was initially brought on board’.
When asked on any words of advise for teens struggling to be themselves, the star gave some words of encouragement. ‘I would say, I think your life would be much easier when you do.’ He added, ‘If you can find someone or somewhere you feel comfortable, I say embrace that and follow that’.
As for what’s coming up next, Nick said ‘I’m signed on to do a film of Native Son, a remake of a novel in several forms so I’m looking forward to that. That’ll be in a few months.’
