EXCLUSIVE: Katherine Langford confirms the truth about Hannah Baker in ’13 Reasons Why’ season 2

Katherine chats about being back home, her latest flick and what’s in store for Hannah Baker.

Back down under, Katherine Langford chatted with us exclusively at the Sydney premiere of Love, Simon about her latest flick and just how involved she will be in the second season of 13 Reasons Why.

While she kept things under wraps, Katherine told Media Hype: ‘I’m not sure if I am allowed to say yet. I know Hannah is back but a very different Hannah’.

It’s been over two years since Katherine has been back home in Australia. ‘I feel like I’ve been away working for such a long time’ she said.

As for what she misses most about being home, Katherine reveals ‘I think most of all what I miss are my friends. I have a very beautiful small group of friends who I’m really close with and who have known me for such a long time.’

Love, Simon has been praised around the world for dealing with LGBTQ youth and the way it explores being true to oneself. When asked on her thoughts for struggling teens out there, the Australian actress said: ‘I’m not an expert by any means and it’s hard to tell someone how to be themselves but I would just say it’s always best to be yourself and ignore anyone who says otherwise.’

With that, she reflected on how much it has meant to work on two powerful teen projects. ‘13 Reasons Why and this [Love, Simon] are the first two things I’ve ever done and both of them I feel very luck, have resonated in a way other than just entertainment’

‘I think that’s such a fulfilling thing for me’ she added.

Love, Simon hits Australian cinemas on March 29.
