Amy Schumer has never been shy about embracing her body shape, and it’s made for quite a few hilarious gags since her first top billing role in 2015’s Trainwreck. I Feel Pretty is a Shallow Hal of sorts, except we never see the skinny Renee physically transform, adding to the hilarity of the situation as to everyone else she’s exactly the same person albeit with new found confidence. Suffering a head injury during a workout class has its perks as Renee climbs the ladder at work with boss Avery LeClair (Michelle Williams) and Ethan (Rory Scovel). Whether it’s her own self-delusion or the empowering message that you are allowed to be as confident as you feel, we’re pegging this as the next movie to watch when you need a little pick me up. We’d go for air hostess Amy any day of the week.
