Host Jimmy Kimmel acknowledged the influential #metoo movement started by Rose McGowan last year, and he also condemned the actions of controversial media mogul Harvey Weinstein, formerly of Miramax Pictures.

Most notably was the positive representation of women over 40 in the age bracket, with Frances McDormand pushing for more roles for a wider demographic without compromising the story.
