Another week, another brand new teen wolf… and this week’s episode was much less confusing then the previous week, but still left viewers unsure of what’s going on.
First up, last week’s mind numbing Lydia revelation was side-tracked with no Lydia at all tonight.. which judging my next week’s episode will feature more prominently in.
So let’s start of with Allison and Scott, who reached a major hurtle in their secret relationship with her choosing her family over him making Scott feel untrustworthy. Allison and Scott also hatched a scheme for her to date the photographer.. which was pointless as they were spotted by Mamma Argent.
And thanks to Allison’s mum, their plans of finally catching the Kanima controller were destroyed as she kidnaps Scott with the intention of killing him. But not to worry as Derek came back tonight with a bang, as he demonstrated his true friendship towards Scott by saving him which then managed to lead us to yet another cliffhanger.. Mamma Argent getting bitten and may now be a werewolf!!!
Now back to Jackson for this week, he was under control and on a mission to kill yet another victim who had murdered someone in their past and despite the numerous attempts that Stiles, Erica and Isaac made, his mission was accomplished. Also speaking of Erica and Stiles.. there was no romantic affairs going on tonight after sharing a brief moment last week ( i assume it will next week).
Stiles in this ep also provided us with his usual comedic relief, with even more depth tonight with his serious side being exposed when speaking to his father on his suspension from his job.. He also further developed tonight with him being brave enough and using his imagination to contain the master of the Kanima.
On a final note, bets are still placed on Mr. Harris as to being the controller due to him and his car that has the famous clued quote being at the rave party, but you never know with Teen Wolf and its twists…
Also, what are the counselor and vet up to.. are they related and what do they know that the gang doesn’t?
As usual.. we must wait for our numerous questions to be answered in the final four episodes to come.
On a side not.. I have to say that the raving party sequence was shot really well, with its well crafted cutbacks to other characters stories allowing us to know whats going on with everyone else.
Overall, another fun and exciting episode of Teen Wolf that managed to be less confusing to its previous episode. Despite it being a great joy ride, the confusion from last week was not fully cleared up with the episode side-tracking ongoing unanswered questions.. but in doing so, it still managed to give fans even more revelations to be excited about for future episodes to come.
