A much better improvement to last weeks premiere as it returned back to NYC and continued to delve deeper into much greater character maturity to come!! Here’s the highlights of last nights episode.
Dan & Georgina… Really enjoyed these two last night, Georgina continued to spread her humor (her comment on Dan’s raw and hard). The two continued there hunt to get there book published, and in doing so Dan had to face her watching him every morning. These two actually have some good chemistry and i like them as a team. In the end Dan made a deal with Nate to publish the book. But once the books out there, how will Dan cope with the backlash.. I cant wait to see the gangs reaction
Chuck & his dad… Boring!!! Im done with these story-lines, we have been going over and over Chuck’s quest to prove his dad wrong. I understand that we need to wrap it up after so many seasons of these two being at each others throats.. but wrap it up quick. The only good thing to come out of this is that Chuck is being mature with Blair, in that he no longer blames her for ruining his chances of being a business man.
Serena and the new guy.. Not bad, but Serena needs to find her end-game guy already as this isn’t going to last after Sage will no doubtly separate the two. It was funny to see that he was the dad of Sage after Serena/Nate suspected they were dating. I also found it funny when Sage exclaimed that “noone reads gossip girl any more its for old people”. It was great to see how the next generation of UES’s treat the site, but she sort of contradicted herself when her friends had all read the posts about Serena and her dad. I guess GG is still hip even for the new teens.

Nate and the Sage .. Nate is once again the bystander.. but at least his dating someone younger rather than older. I look forward to seeing him publish Dan’s book, at least he will be given something greater to do with the show! And what happened to his quest to bring down gossip girl, if he is central to this story in the coming weeks, i will praise the writers for finally picking up Nate’s game!
Blair and Dorota!!! Who else is glad that Dorota’s back!, she is one of the funniest characters on the show and she was her usual self once again last night (particularly when she yelled for Blair’s new crews attention).
But aside from Dorota, Blair seemed to take a step back last night as she went back on the path to bossing around her minions… but ex-minion Poppy Lifton (who is now a professional writer) put perspective back into Blair as she realized that her ruling control could backfire.
In the end, we saw Blair look at a picture of her mother, it looks like she will back on her mission to make her proud before the show ends.. It will be good to see Blair live out the ending she deserves before it all ends.
Overall, a much better improvement to last week’s lack-luster episode where the show returned to it’s central points and began to further develop the character’s maturity. Let’s hope the show picks up pace quickly and gets more deeper into it as the show has only 8 episodes to go!!
Did you enjoy last night’s episode? Who were the highlights of the episode? Do you like the final season so far and what do you want to see happen in coming weeks?

3.7/5
