PLL managed to overthrow it’s premiere episode this week by giving fans something reminiscent.
It seems as if the show’s flashbacks from previous seasons have become reality with Ali back in the picture.
Let’s deconstruct the episode…
Trouble in Liar paradise… Now that Ali’s back it seems trouble with her and Spencer continue to surface, as we saw them clash yet again over there differences. Plus, the rest of the girls are still recovering from having her back while they try to protect her from shady brother Jason.
In typical PLL fashion, we will probably be mislead that his an evil A team member to later discover his actually on the good side. He did seem relatively shocked to see his mother dead though, but what does he know that we don’t? And why was he in NYC?
Things get hot and steamy.. Spoby tension reached fever pitch as Toby resurfaced from England.
Spencer after having a fall out with Ali was feeling tense too, so what better way to unwind then having some hot dry sex. Oh, and ignore all your friends while your at it Spence…
But hey, they played OneRepublic‘s new track “Love Runs Out” while they did it, so i’m all fine with it.
Aria is losing it… Hearing violins haunt you ain’t pretty. It’s so strange that I laughed a bit at the violin usage. It seemed a tad cheesy to be hearing the eery instrument when you’ve just murdered someone..
Mona most probably knows of what went down, but could she have framed the violin horror? And why has Aria’s brother all of a sudden become so mature and handsome these days.. no wonder Mona has locked her claws on him. Or is it just part of her devious new game? Time will tell.
Oh, and the WHO THE HELL sent that text? Well, A’s not dead as the girls may think.. so it was probably A.
B**ch should of stayed dead.. Mona is back to being a badass b**ch, how rude was she when confronting Ali near the (still unidentified) girl in Ali’s grave! Mona has not forgiven her, even after helping her escape and is still bent on making her return a living hell.
Death addressed.. Ali’s new dog (that Mrs D apparently ordered before she died) discovered their owner dead underneath a pile of dirt. We saw her get buried alive at the end of last season, and I’m glad they dealt with it this week rather than ignore it like the premiere episode.
While being in true over-the-top fashion (I mean that song they used seemed so corny for such a scene?) we saw Ali looking all grim. And why wouldn’t she be? Her mothers dead, her brother is acting shady, her dad’s controlling and most of the town wish she never returned.
Overall Rating:
4.7/5
