After four years of “period blood, sweat, and tears,” Swedish pop icon Tove Lo has officially announced her sixth studio album, Estrus.
Coming off the huge success of 2022’s Dirt Femme and 2024 collaborative EP Heat with SG Lewis, Tove is ready to reclaim her throne.
“Estrus is an animal in heat. It’s primal, contradicting emotional chaos. It’s my mind and my body wanting different things, wanting everything.”
The singer describes the project as a “personal metamorphosis.” Written between Los Angeles, Stockholm, and a small village on the Swedish west coast, the album explores the inner conflict of navigating her late 30s while rejecting the societal pressure to “have it all figured out.”
Estrus is set for release on September 18, 2026.
Lead single “I’m Your Girl Right?” drops this Wednesday, May 13 (May 14 in Australia).
