Finally after many years of waiting for production to end and the film to be released, we are now getting to witness the amazing film, Michael, that was produced by his family and acted by his nephew Jaafar Jackson.
We all knew this would be a spectacle like no other, the glitz and glam of the industry, but also his family upbringing and the growth of the biggest star ever!
Michael is smashing box offices and has already topped ticket sales of all other biopics, making it the highest selling of all time. So let’s jump right into it, the film starts when Joseph Jackson (Michael’s dad) sees a talent in his boys and nurtures them to form a band whom go onto dominate the charts. We see the intimate relationships between Michael and his brothers along with their father and mother – A side we don’t normally see or hear about. As time goes by you see the star of Michael grow and become a musical genius. Pushing boundaries with his music, style, image, videos and performances that the world hadn’t seen before.
Then there is Jaafar! Wow, you’d think no one could play the character of Michael but Jaafar pulls it off smoothly. While he has never acted or danced before, Jaafar spent 2 years to learning the art then when called in for the audition smashed it and got the role. Then the hard work started, he spent over a year practising how to be Michael. Singing like him, dancing like him, talking like him, basically becoming Michael – not to mention perfecting the moonwalk.
The film will make you sing-a -long to the iconic songs, relive the excitement of seeing Michael perform on stage. There are many amazing performances in the film that really take you back and make you remember why he was the king of pop. You’ll be moonwalking out of the cinema! This is a must-see film for everyone.
