Eugenia Kuzmina is definitely not a stranger to the camera. A true triplet threat, only a small part of her resume includes being the cover star for Glamour, a model for stars including Alexander McQueen, and acting in several of our favorite movies including Bad Moms, and Dirt Grandpa (with Zac Efron).
We had a chance to talk with Eugenia on her favorite entertainment medium and how the quarantine has been for her:
Q: What would you say you enjoy the most: acting, modeling, or comedy?
A: “I enjoy being creative in any field, currently, on top of acting, modeling, and comedy, I’m working on creating “Model Mom’s Guide ” comedy book | tarot cards parody on advice. I try not to label any project that decides to attach myself, rather choose quality over quantity and collaboration with extraordinary artists to create a story.”
Q: Who would you say is your favorite comedian?
“Robin Williams, hands down.”
Q: How has the pandemic been for you? What has been keeping you busy during your quarantine?
“It made me very present and reflective. I don’t have to drive or even fly anymore to accomplish certain things, quality time with my family is a priority, I spend much more time in nature and my dog is in heaven with all the attention. There’s so much positive that comes from times like this, it makes life simple. At the same time of course I miss hugging friends, doing live comedy shows, and being on a big movie set without having to do Covid test and wear a mask… but being flexible is part of the journey.”
Q: Who would you say has been your biggest supporter for your career?
“My first agent Nathalie Cros-Coitton at Nathalie Models in Paris literally found me on the street in Russia and changed my life, Luiz Mattos at Ford Models and IMG believed in me from the start and made my career a reality.”
Q: Have you ever met a certain celebrity that gave you butterflies when you tried to talk to them?
A:“I was at a friend’s birthday party in la and everyone was working the room: producers talking to Movie Studio CEOs , trying to close the deal, actors talking to directors trying to close the part, etc., except one person was just being present and not needing anything, just being. I watched the whole game of life and then walked outside to get a breath of fresh air, turned around and it was Jim Carey, and he said hi and it was nice just to hear hi without saying what do you do or what can you do for me .”
Q: What advice would you give to young entertainment artists who want to have a successful career, such as yourself?
A: “The first advice is to decide why you want to do it …if you have a story to tell, you have a voice to share, you do it for someone else then just ego, its easy to find the next step: cold call people you admire or who have succeeded in what you aspire to do, don’t hesitate to connect directly, mention your passion and share your dreams, your story! Call the brand and tell them why you are the best representative, be of service, do it for something bigger than yourself. On the other hand, don’t pursue it just to fill the emptiness and think that fame and fortune would cure your need for real love.”
