Earlier this week Selena Gomez blessed her fans with a music video for her new single entitled “Boyfriend” from the newly released deluxe edition version of album Rare.
The 27-year-old singer based her video on the story of The Princess and The Frog. Well, kind of. She ends up turning the men into frogs, a reference to her past boyfriends like Justin Bieber and The Weekend.
Selena shares insight into the meaning of the song by saying:
” It’s a lighthearted song about falling down and getting back up time and time again in love, but also knowing that you don’t need anyone other than yourself to be happy. “
