Imagine having to keep five feet apart from your other half.
That’s exactly the predicament that seventeen-year-old Stella (Haley Lu Richardson), a cystic fibrosis patient and love interest Will (Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse) who shares the same illness are faced with.
The pair come together when Stella, whom is strict with her routine medical therapy takes it upon herself to ensure the more carefree Will follows his strict health regime.

Both Richardson and Sprouse play these characters perfectly and prove a treat with their bubbly chemistry. Moises Arias also adds a nice little touch to the emotion-heavy teen romance as Stella’s charismatic gay BFF, Poe.
Directed by Jane the Virgin star Justin Baldoni, Five Feet Apart really brings home a physical dimension to the saying ‘love is pain’ and that love is ‘a risky thing but it is all so worth it’ and this translates effortlessly on screen.
Verdict: An emotional story of love and loss that packs a powerful punch. If you loved A Fault In Our Stars you will love this! 7.5/10
