90210 Season 5 Episode 13 “#realness” Review

After last-week’s intense episode of 90210, things took a step back tonight. It still had plenty of drama, but just less intense.

Let’s take a look at the highlights of the night below.

Navid’s new fling.. This story-line surprised me the most of the night, i didn’t expect her to have ties to Silver’s life. After being dared to do so by recently joined secret elitist college group, Navid ended up falling for the girl who just so happened to be Shane’s sister (aka the surrogant for Silver’s overdue baby). Way to go writers for smartly re-involving Navid back into Silver’s endless baby drama. And is it just me or is the new elitist leader (Grant Gustin) taking his bets too far?

Maxiomi truly over?.. After last week’s goodbye card, Max showed up again as the two prepared for divorce.. which went awry as the two indulged in some make-up sex. These two never stop complicating it for themselves. They did it not once, but twice!
Despite this, i enjoyed seeing Naomi feel uncomfortable during there charity experiment, she really knows how to ruin the excitement for the young-lings and her scientific metaphors were hilarious! Are these two really over? Do you still want Maxiomi or happy they called it quits?

Annie pulls a Dan Humphrey.. It was pretty creepy that some random blogger tracked her down in her own home.. but it was all in good terms as she was offered to publish her explicitly sexual blog ( who knew Annie had it in her, she’s come along way since her innocent Season 1 days). But it’s all going to be done anonymously, as Annie would be embarrassed if any of her friends or family read it.. (Sound familiar? Anyone recall Gossip Girl’s ‘The Inside”?) This story offers us some potentially juicy drama. Just what?, and more importantly who could be in her blogger posts? (Cough.. Liam.. Cough)

Silver continues to struggle with Teddy.. Teddy can you please just listen and understand what Silver wants? You wouldn’t even have this opportunity if it wasn’t for her asking. Seriously now his trying to be all friendly about it? I was surprised by Silver’s agreement in finding a surrogate  after going as so far as forging Teddy’s signature in getting what she wants. It truly highlighted how vulnerable and desperate she is in having this baby, come on Teddy just help your friend out and stop thinking about yourself!.

Okay rant over.. Now Navid’s new girl is the surrogate (in which no one knows they no each other) Yep, don’t see this one working out! Again, props to the writers who’ve actually made me get this worked up over a story-line.

Crazy Ade makes a come-back!.. I love Crazy Ade! But only when it’s for something worthwhile for herself. Despite going all shoplifter/opera/streaker crazy on Dixon, she managed to take one step back into the mud.
Dixon was just about to let her go! and on good terms.. Now Ade is once again left with regret and on yet another sour note with Dixon.

Despite all of this, we learned that they both still have feelings for each other (Ade talking about ‘Dixon’s baby face’ and Dixon trying to gain Ade’s forgiveness). Will these make amends and actually get back together?

Liam is under pressure!.. Annie finally saw a bit of Liam’s new raging self tonight but despite giving him advice to let go of it, he once again continued down the path of destruction.

Just stay away from the movie roles Liam!, it just puts to much pressure on you.  We saw just how bad fame is for him right now after winning the football match. The fans are just to overwhelming for him (esp after having a pyshcotic one nearly kill him). In the end he once again took out all his frustrations in the boxing ring. I admit, this story-line has gotten interesting despite starting off slow.. Will this new habit cost him his life?

Overall, an interesting but not overall huge episode of 90210 due to last week’s major shocker (ahem, Riley.. In which Annie seemed to forget about tonight?). The episode instead patched a few on-going things up before giving fans even more new developments to look forward to.

Next week’s episode marks the long-awaited appearance of Naomi & Annie’s real half-brother, i guess where now in for a more HUGE episode next week!
