After a long hiatus, we are back in the famous zipcode that is 90210 but it was not one of it’s best returns
as the episode was quite average with few developments.
It was more of a filler episode of the season with mildly entertaining stories but still was otherwise a solid episode.
Naomi was reunited with her sister Jen, and at first Jen was being her usual self before we realized she had truly changed and was looking out for her sister, but judging by next week’s promo, its about to change.
Naomi tried to impress her sister by saying she had a office and turning a sex shop into a fake office, all though unbelievable it did provide some humor and comic relief (particularly her sneaking in and having to wear the leather suit that she was allergic to)
Also by the end of the episode we saw another new romance about to blossom and this time with the rich guy Annie met before named Preston.
Annie again has no major new story line, were are all her romance stories gone? as she continues to try and do something useful in life, but rich guy Preston is trying to ruin this by making her forget about it and live her life not caring about spending money, i applaud Annie for this as money isn’t everything. I think the writers really need to give her some major story lines as she has been a major character in the past of the show.
Silver excitement over getting to NYU is shortlived as her doctor tells her that she needs to be tested for the cancer gene as most of her family had died from it, way to ruin her happiness.. I also sense there will be a hookup for her with Liam in coming episodes, as he seems to be there for her when she needs someone to listen, i like that Silver’s character is getting back on track and is getting story lines that what she had from the start of the season.
Ivy was back to her boring story lines once again, when i had thought it had finally gained some momentum.. the new guy she met ended up causing trouble for her as she joined his underground artwork, and then ended up giving in and falling for him, i really hope they get back to the Raj story line soon as Ivy was much more interesting then.
Vanessa was back to her conniving ways as she overheard Ade getting an interview with a movie producer, which just so happened to be at a perfect time when Vanessa was looking to make Liam a major movie star… She then diverged Ade and Dixon to a false interview allowing her to maker her move on the producer (by move we mean flaunt her self).. she gets what she wants and Liam is now on his way to becoming a movie star.
Finally, Adrianna and Dixon made a promise to keep business and love seperate, but i dont think its going to last…, Ade quits her job as she has high hopes for her interview with the movie producer which Vanessa steals. Vanessa diverges them by making a false interview with Def Jam, there hopes are then ruined and still need to get there business going. This story looks to be getting interesting.
Overall, it was an average episode of the season, and not a strong return but did provide some further developments. Next week’s episode looks like it’s getting back on track as it looks to be a more better episode than this week’s episode.
