Charli XCX drops new party banger with Lil Yachty!
The creator of the massively popular ‘Boom Clap’ song of 2014 is back again with her third studio album in the works. According to a recent interview with i-D, she revealed:
“It’s going to be so different from the last album. It’s going to be the most pop thing and the most electronic thing I’ve done. I started working in that way quite naturally, it just happened. This always happens, the second I put out the previous record I’m always over it”
She also stated that the music would be influenced by Japanese pop. Considering the rise in popularity of Asian artists like BTS it’s not hard to see why she’s using those influences.
Charli XCX confirmed that she has been working with, SOPHIE and Stargate to create “the best pop album of 2017″. These artists have worked together before on the extended EP of Vroom Vroom, so their next work has us all giddy with excitement.
If “After The Afterparty” is anything to go by (which you can check out above), we are in for a treat!
The album is set to drop sometime next year in May.
