Gwen Stefani – This Is What The Truth Feels Like – Album Review

Gwen is back for realz…

Interscope Records

Gwen Stefani has finally dropped her long awaited new album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like and it is everything we had hoped for.

Used To Love You marked the first taste of Gwen’s new sound and it showcased a vulnerable side to Gwen, coming straight off the gossip headlines of her split from ex Gavin Rossdale.

Dealing with emotions and breakups, Gwen gives listeners an insight into her personal journey whilst also having fun along the way.

When we say fun, we really mean it as the album features its fare share of love pop bubblegum, including Misery, You’re My Favourite, Naughty and flirtatious Send Me A Picture.

Gwen even goes a little urban pop with current music craze, Fetty Wap on club-banger Asking 4 It.

The other more serious tunes (like it’s first single) include the soothing title track Truth and chilled break-up anthem, Me Without You plus stunning bonus track (why is it even a bonus?) Lovable.

Both flow effortlessly when listening to album in sequence and compliment each other throughout. Not a bland filler in site!

Verdict: A triumphant pop return for Gwen Stefani, a must have album for Gwen fans and general fans of pop.
