The upcoming feature film of Guillermo del Toro, the famed director of the Oscar-winning “Pan’s Labyrinth” has recently dropped another clip featuring the Australian actress Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”), recently seen as the female lead in “Madame Bovary”.

The film “Crimson Peak” tells the story of Edith Cushing, after suffering a recent family tragedy is torn between her love for a childhood friend and a mysterious outsider. Accepting the invitation of the seductive stranger, she is swept away to a house that breaths, bleeds… and remembers.

Starring Charlie Hunnam from “Pacific Rim”, another of del Toro’s feature, “Crimson Peak” gathers numerous stars under its wing including Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers”) and without much surprise, as it’s a del Toro movie featuring ghosts – Doug Jones (“Hellboy”).

Earlier in March, literary king of horror Stephen King and his son, award-winning Joe Hill were treated to an advanced screening, where both acclaimed authors posted high praises for the film on twitter. King referred to the film as gorgeous and electrifying, comparing it to Sam Rami’s “The Evil Dead”, which is no easy feat for modern horror; whilst Joe Hill has titled the feature ‘the most beautiful of all’ horror films.
